Sad! 300 level female student crushed to death by a truck while taking okada to school in Ogun state (photos)




It has just been reported that a promising Nigerian student of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu Ode area of Ogun state, is dead. Kofoworola Kuku Toheebah lost her life in a ghastly accident.

According to one of her friends, she disclosed that Toheebah died after being crushed by a trailer while on her way to school on Wednesday, May 16. She was also said to be on a motorcycle before the accident took place.

Her pictures were shared on Facebook by one of her friends, Abi Ke Ade on Thursday, May 17. The young lady is still yet to come to terms that Toheebah is no more.

Her post reads: “Kofoworola Kuku Toheebah is very calm, kind and pure hearted person. A friend like sister, my advice, my super woman. U left this wicked world yesterday. Still seeing it like a dream, I remember those advice u gave me when am down, I remember how we plan our futures, I remember how we plan travelling all over the world. I remember how we plan making it big. Don't know u won't be able to fulfill all year dreams. Only God knows what I feel for you. Continue to rest in peace my woman. We love you but God loves you more.

Following Toheebah’s death, some students of the university were seen protesting on the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode road. However the hit and run driver has been arrested by the police.

Also, the Ogun state Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have advised all motorists to take alternative routes has students have blocked the highway.

Their report says: “TRAFFIC ADVISORY ON SAGAMU-IJEBU ODE EXPRESSWAY DUE TO A CRASH THAT KILLED A STUDENT OF TAI SOLARIN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION IJEBU ODE - ADVISE TO MOTORISTS TO USE ALTERNATIVE ROUTES. Due to a crash involving a female student of TAI SOLARIN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION IJEBU ODE which led to the death of the female student, some students of the institution protesting the gruesome incident have blocked part of the express road around Ijagun junction. As at 15:30hrs, while security operatives are trying to restore order, motorists are advised to use alternative routes like Benin-Ore-Ijebu Ode-Epe-Ajah road.
