Ogun West ready for leadership —Akinwande

The President,  Gbenga Akinwande Foundation, Mr. Gbenga Akinwande, has affirmed the readiness of the Ogun West Senatorial District to lead Ogun State in the light of the 2019 elections.

Akinwande was quoted in a statement as saying this during an interactive session with journalists at the final of Yewa Community Cup.

It read, “As part of events surrounding the football match sponsored by his foundation, which pitched Alaye High School, Ayetoro against Community High School, Ilara, he charged every man and woman in Ogun West to support moves to ensure an Ogun State indigene of Ogun West extraction becomes the next governor of the state.”

According to him, a lot of compromises, the unity of purpose and negotiations with both Ogun East and Ogun Central senatorial districts is required to have an Ogun West person as the next governor of the state.

He said the uncertainty in political circles in the state and in the country posed a challenge to the aspirations of Ogun West, and urged the people of the region to be vigilant.
