– Chelsea star Eden Hazard has emerged as a summer transfer target for Manchester City
– City boss Pep Guardiola is said to have identified the Belgian as his number one target
– But the ex Barcelona gaffer will face competition from Spanish side Real Madrid
Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly planning a £100m swoop for Chelsea star Eden Hazard and the club are confident of signing the Belgium international.
After winning the Premier League title in his second season at the Etihad stadium, City boss Pep Guardiola is said to have made Eden Hazard his number one target for next season.
But the former Barcelona gaffer will need to break the British transfer record and hand Hazard a deal worth £300,000-a-week for him to lure him to the Etihad.
Eden Hazard has two more years left on his contract at Chelsea, but he has also been seriously linked with a move to Spanish club Real Madrid.
And according to the report by Daily Star UK, Pep Guardiola wants Manchester City chiefs to beat Real Madrid in the summer signing of Eden Hazard.
Hazard was in stunning form to help the Blues beat Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday, May 19, to land the FA Cup title.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Eden Hazard made another important statement on his future at Stamford Bridge as the Belgian football star wants the Blues to sign more players this summer.
After a disappointing season which saw Chelsea losing their Premier League title to Manchester City, Eden Hazard is holding off signing a new contract.
Eden Hazard still has two more years on his deal at Chelsea, but the 27-year-old winger wants to wait and see the players Chelsea will sign this summer before he decides his future.
