Diafra Sakho completes £9m Rennes switch from West Ham

  • Diafra Sakho scored 24 goals in 71 appearances during his time at West Ham
  • The 28-year-old has completed his switch to Ligue 1 side Rennes for £9million
  • An initial fee of £4.5m will be paid with the remaining £3.5m to follow in bonuses

Rennes have completed the signing of striker Diafra Sakho from West Ham in a deal worth £9million.

The 28-year-old, who scored 24 goals in 71 appearances, will join for an initial £4.5m with a further £3.5m following in bonuses.

West Ham are reviving interest in Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin as they work through a list of targets prior to Wednesday's transfer deadline day.

Diafra Sakho has completed his £9million switch from West Ham to Ligue 1 side Rennes

The Dutch midfielder as appeared in 19 of Everton's 24 Premier League games this season, starting 16 of them. 

Goalkeeper Joe Hart wants to leave to gain more game time but is expected to stay on loan for the rest of the season.

Hart featured in West Ham's FA Cup fourth round exit at the hands of Wigan on Satruday, but has had his opportunities restricted to cup appearances.
