Olivier Giroud was seen deep in conversation with Arsene Wenger in what could be his final training session with Arsenal ahead of a potential £35million move to Chelsea.

The France international still looked very much part of the squad as they prepared for Tuesday's Premier League clash against Swansea City, but he is unlikely to be involved as his future remains uncertain.
Giroud is likely to leave the Emirates when Arsenal complete a club-record deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Chelsea are among those considering a move.

There appeared to be no animosity between Wenger and Giroud as they conversed and shared a laugh amid what could ultimately be the last time the striker kicks a ball in anger at London Colney.

Arsenal are happy to sanction a sale to Premier League rivals Chelsea so long as they meet their £35m valuation while Borussia Dortmund are also interested in a deal separate from Aubameyang's £55.4m move.

However, the German club have been frustrated in their attempts to coax Giroud so far as it is understood he is keen to remain in London, which gives Chelsea a clear advantage in negotiations.

The Blues discussed a move for Giroud over the weekend after their attempts to sign Edin Dzeko from Roma continued to fall flat. Already settled in London and with a proven Premier League record, the Arsenal man would come with added benefits.

The 31-year-old was training alongside Arsenal's new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is likely to make his full debut for the club on Tuesday evening following his move from Manchester United.

He looked comfortable as he took on the likes of Per Mertesacker and Alex Iwobi in training drills and will be looking to make an instant impact at the Liberty Stadium.

Alexandre Lacazette, whose position will come under threat when Aubameyang arrives, was also looking to impress as he let rip with several long shots ahead of a must win game in South Wales.
